Members

Information on our Members.

RRFSS has two types of annual Memberships:

1) Full Members

Most Members of RRFSS fall into this category. Health organizations can join RRFSS as Full Members to collection timely data, relevant to local public health needs. The results are used to support program planning and evaluation, to advocate for public policy development and to improve community awareness regarding the risks for chronic diseases, infectious disease and injuries.

2) Supporting Members

To promote collaboration in public health surveillance, health organizations can also join RRFSS as Supporting Members. Supporting Members participate in all of RRFSS Membership activities (such as Module Development, Module Review, participation on Working Groups) and benefit from internal data sharing of the RRFSS data set.

Collaboration

All RRFSS Members must take an active role in the RRFSS. The success of the RRFSS depends upon effective collaboration between Members to complete tasks required to maintain the surveillance system, as well as a sharing of resources, information and expertise. Collaboration is recommended between Supporting Members and full Members, including collaboration on RRFSS data collection, analysis and module development. As well, both types of Members must designate a RRFSS Representative to be their lead for the RRFSS within their organization.
